BILL NO. 184(L&C) "An Act relating to individual deferred                                           
annuities; and providing for an effective date" was read the third time.                            
                                                                                                    
Senator French moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be                                   
returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment,                                 
that being Amendment No. 1. Without objection, the bill was returned                                
to second reading.

Page 2, line 29, following "adjustment.":                                                           
 Insert "An adjustment to the calculation of minimum nonforfeiture                                  
amounts authorized under this subsection may not result in an interest                              
rate of less than one percent."                                                                     
Senator French moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator                                   
Taylor objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further                                
objections, Amendment No. 1 was adopted.
